The Indian Head Penny 1894 is a highly sought-after coin by collectors and enthusiasts alike. This particular penny holds significant historical value as it was minted during the era of American expansionism. The Indian Head Penny series was introduced in 1859 and featured an obverse portrait of Lady Liberty wearing a headdress, which some critics claim to be an inaccurate representation of Native American culture.

By 1890, the design received a much-needed revamp with James B. Longacre's iconic Indian Head design replacing Lady Liberty on the obverse side. This new design featured a profile portrait of an indigenous woman adorned with feathers and wearing a necklace. The reverse side depicted the oak wreath encircling the denomination "one cent" and the words "United States of America." The Indian Head Penny 1894 carries all these features making it one of the most collectible coins in history.

Today you can get your hands on this one-of-a-kind copper bar with the Indian Head Penny etched into it. It is a must have for any collector.

Key Features:

  • 1 AVDP Pound of .999 fine copper
  • Copper information is laser etched into the bar
  • Indian Head Penny design

The reverse side is blank but may have some marks or swirls from the mold the copper was poured into.

Copper is the third most consumed metal in the world and is the first metal manipulated by humans. It remains an important element in the world of industry today. Collectors today look to copper for diversification. Typically, copper is lower per ounce than gold or silver which makes it cheaper. Copper isn’t like gold though which is counter cyclical. Copper moves with the broader market and is seen as an indicator of economic growth.

These are great gifts for your friends and family, and they are also great paperweights!
